Ossington Newark watercolour
Copyscape d-grey on black3

Size approx 35.5 cm x 26.5 cm

THE OSSINGTON COFFEE PALACE, NEWARK was built in 1882 as a temperance hotel by the widow of Viscount Ossington one time speaker of the House of Commons at a cost then, of around £20 thousand. It is regarded as a perfect copy of a 17th century hostelry but despite this it has suffered from a chequered history of use.
