Sending me your scanned photo is easy and it means that the original will always be in safe hands - yours. Scanning is straightforward but to achieve best results we will need to follow a few simple steps.
CLEAN First your scanner glass cannot be too clean. Clean it as per the manufacturer’s instructions and ensure there is no dust, smudges or finger prints to be seen. Your photo too. Check it for any dust and marks and being careful not to make them any worse gently attempt to wipe them away immediately prior to scanning.
SETTINGS Set your scanner on its default setting and to scan on the colour setting whatever colour your photo/document actually is, at a resolution of 300 dpi if it is A4 size or above; and at 600 dpi if its below; and at 2400 dpi if it is 35 mm or similar.
SCAN Place your photo/document face on the scanner glass and close the lid. If necessary press on the lid or add a little weight to minimize any curvature or creases, then scan it and save it either as a TIFF file or a high quality JPEG file. Now you are ready to send it to me and that too could hardly be easier.
SEND Just click 7DAYPHOTOFIX© when you are ready & your e-mail program should open already addressed. Drag your file on to the e-mail to attach a copy or you can do all it manually if you prefer. Add a brief description of how you want your photo/document fixing, your contact details, and click send. A few days later you should get a preview your fixed photo/document.
